The past is yours to uncover
Our archaeology tours span the whole human past. We visit the painted caves of France and the open-air rock engravings of Portugal's Côa valley, walk the Minoan palaces of Crete and enter the decorated tombs of Egypt. We explore the civilisations of Greece and Rome to the edges of their empires, discovering cities, forts and frontiers from northern Britain to the edge of the Sahara. We admire Byzantine splendour in Italy and Istanbul, trace the Vikings across their homelands, and follow in the wake of the artists, architects, philosophers, explorers and engineers who shaped the medieval world. Further afield still, we follow the Silk Road east and cross the Pacific to the moai of Easter Island.
Archaeology is a living discipline, and new discoveries continue to reshape our understanding of it. You travel with expert Guide Lecturers: archaeologists, Egyptologists and historians who research these landscapes themselves and love sharing what they find, so you uncover far more than just dates and ruins.
